Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) NEW REQUIRED MATE TRAINING PROGRAM
For All DEA Registered Prescribers

Physicians, Physicians Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Dentists,
and other controlled substance prescribers

DEA has issued new training requirements for all practitioners licensed to prescribe controlled substances to complete eight (8) hours of coursework on substance use disorders.

Effective June 27, 2023, all new and renewing DEA registered prescribers must complete this new requirement. This includes: physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, dentists, and other practitioners.

AffinityCE has developed an 8-hour education and training program to meet new DEA requirements for all DEA registered practitioners. AffinityCE is an Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) accredited provider of continuing medical education and a DEA-qualified training program provider. AffinityCE is also an ADA-CERP accredited provider of continuing dental education.

Practitioners can satisfy the one-time DEA training requirement by successfully completing all 8 modules. Practitioners completing the program will receive a DEA required training completion certificate and 8 hours of AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ or 8 hours of ADA-CERP continuing dental education credit.
